I already made new friends and met up with some old ones last night at Miss Brainerd/Baxter United States pageant. That makes me so pumped for this year and I can't believe it is happening...finally!! This pageant system is so welcoming and loving, you would LOVE IT if you are looking for a pageant to compete in! Bill and Vicki, thank you for welcoming into your amazing pageant family! You have been amazing the past years I have known you. I am looking forward to the year and where God will lead us all. Pageant History {Part 7}

Wow we did it folks! Welcome to the most recent pageant I did, part 7: Miss Queen of the Lakes United States 2017! This was my first time I ever competed in the system! Though I wasn't a stranger to it because I helped the night of the first Miss Brainerd/Baxter United States pageant a few years back. It was fun to try something new and it was a BLAST!! I felt something in my gut to try this system and I wasn't sure how I would do but I knew I would enjoy the ride. As I walked into practice that one Sunday, I was certainly intimidated by everyone but not for long. The beautiful Vicki came to give me a warm welcome and told me to jump right in. The girls were so nice and it was fun to get back in the pageant game. The thing that is different with this pageant is Bill and Vicki (Miss MN US State Directors aka most amazing people ever) work with their girls from day one. They will meet with you individually and work on whatever it may be. They bring an amazing attitude to

Pageant History {Part 6}

Hello beautiful people, For this one I did the same pageant as the last blog, Miss Brainerd Lakes/Central Lakes pageant. But this time it is WAY DIFFERENT!! To be honest I didn't like it this way. So when I went for pageant orientation they told us about how the titles will be different. You know in the last blog how I told you there were 4 titles given and they were all separate. We had a whole bunch of girls that year. This year they didn't have enough for the 4 so they had to get rid of the Miss Central Lakes Outstanding Teen title. The rules went like this: - The Miss Brainerd Lakes pageant was now an 'open' pageant which means any girl in the state can compete. It used to be a 'closed' pageant in which girls only in the area could compete. To me this was not fair...girls who know nothing of the area have a chance to represent it?? Sorry but don't really like that, that was my automatic thought after hearing that. - Then all the Miss

Pageant History {Part 5}

Good Afternoon my peeps! SO MOVING ALONG IN THE HISTORY... On my fifth pageant I continued in the Miss America system with the Miss Brainerd Lakes/Miss Central Lakes pageant. This was the first time I competed in this pageant and I was unsure at first if I should but I gave it a shot. So how this worked was there was 4 titles being given away: -Miss Central Lakes Outstanding Teen -Miss Brainerd Lakes Outstanding Teen -Miss Central Lakes -Miss Brainerd Lakes I was competing for Miss Brainerd Lakes and you choose which title you were competing for. Preparing for this pageant I had to choose a talent and a swimsuit. I thought I would do something different and do baton twirling for my talent. My mom used to be a baton twirler in school and that is what inspired me to do it. I was babysitting my nieces at the time, Gabby was off at school and Peyti, she was just a baby. Peyti thought it was so funny every time I twirled the baton. She is so dang cute. So it was fun to practice

Pageant History {Part 4}

Good Evening my fabulous peeps, I am recovering from a crazy wedding weekend!! Congrats to my amazing big brother and new sister, Craig & Monica! I am so excited that you two are officially joined together in God's name! Monica, you have always been a sister to me the whole 7 years y'all have been together! I love you so much and I am happy you are an official Paul. Honestly you have always been a Paul to me! Now to pageant stuff, so for part 4 I will be telling you about a time I competed for a state title! This was very different than what I've been used to the past couple years I have competed. I competed for Miss Minnesota International 2014 and I was Miss Crow Wing County International 2014. I was so excited that I was able to hold a local title, I felt so special. During my time as Miss Crow Wing County, I was able to so some awesome things such as: -Help at the first Miss Brainerd/Baxter United States Pageant -Read to a classroom at my local (and mine) el
